October 9, Peter Opitz (Zurich) will give a lecture in French at the International Reformation Museum in Geneva.
On the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the arrival of Huldrych Zwingli in Zurich in 1519, which marks the beginning of the Reformation in Switzerland, the world’s foremost specialist on the Reformer tells the story of this outstanding figure of the first half of the 16th century.
Without Zwingli, the Reformation, and especially its Calvinistic expression, would have known another destiny. The author of the book Ulrich Zwingli, Prophet, Ketzer, Pionier des Protestantismus, which has just appeared in French at Labor and Fides, offers an exciting lecture on a key figure of Protestantism and Switzerland.
